Please note that Atom 1 is not ideal for every situation, and we are not supporting it anymore. When the battery is low Atom 1 might freeze. You have to unplug it, wait until it goes out of battery (3 days), and turn it on. If not start, then remove it from the charger immediately, and try it later. If it turns on, charge it until it is full.
We have offered a free upgrade program to Atom 2.
Atom 2 is a huge improvement. It has:
Atom is our first device to have MagiScript support, so you can create mini-apps running on the device without an internet connection or phone. You can write your mini-apps, or run mini-apps created by the community.
It is important:
Easy first steps:
Atom 2 has built-in mini-apps. These are basic applications running on Atom, and need no phone, only another Bluetooth device like PeekSmith 3 or SB Watch.
Please note that the following behavior might slightly change with an upcoming firmware update
When Atom starts, it will load the Atom Launcher mini-app by default. You have 5 seconds to start a mini-app by pressing one of the buttons (1-6). If you miss it, you have to restart Atom if you would like to launch a mini-app. Read our docs about mini-apps.
You can exit the built-in mini-apps by pressing the bottom-right button for a few seconds. If you have a PeekSmith connected, it will show you "Exit", then "Goodbye". After exiting the apps, the Atom Launcher will start and you have 5 seconds to start another mini-app.
Wenn kein Telefon, Computer oder anderes Gerät eine Verbindung zu Atom herstellt und 10 Sekunden lang keine Mini-App ausgeführt wird, schaltet es sich automatisch aus.
We have not yet measured the actual power consumption and battery life. We will document these topics in the future.
Visit our compatibility page for information about using the device with our apps. At the moment the PeekSmith and TimeSmith apps are supporting Atom, but we are working on our other apps, too.
Firmware updates are going to be available in the PeekSmith app, and also in our web browser-based MagiScript editor you can use to edit and upload MagiScript mini-apps.
We are going to release Bluetooth keyboard support in March 2024 with a firmware update.
Und schließlich können Sie auch mit dem Erlernen von MagiScript beginnen.
