Atom + Bond (Pi Revelations)

This solution explains how to use Atom 2 together with Bond for a powerful Pi Revelations routine.
With this setup, pressing a button on Atom will instantly display digits from the number π (Pi) on your Bond screen.
No phone or app is required during performance.

What You Need

  • Atom 2 Smart Remote (charged and turned on)
  • Bond (charged and turned on)

Step 1 - Direct Connection

  • By default, Atom automatically connects to the first Bond (PeekSmith-class device) available.
  • No app or manual pairing is needed.
  • Once connected, Atom buttons can send digits of Pi directly to Bond.

Tip: If you want to adjust settings (like how many digits are shown), you can configure Atom in the PeekSmith app beforehand.

Step 2 - Using Atom for Pi

When Atom is connected to Bond:

  • Each button press sends a sequence of digits from Pi.
  • The digits appear on Bond’s display in real time.
  • You can control how many digits appear per button press (configurable in the app).

Step 3 - Performance Flow

  1. Ask the spectator to name a position in Pi (for example, “the 30th digit”).
  2. Secretly press the Atom button until that position is reached.
  3. Bond displays the digits, giving you the answer instantly.
  4. You can then “reveal” their chosen digit or sequence as if by memory.

Troubleshooting

  • Nothing shows on Bond: Make sure both devices are on. Restart Atom to force a reconnection.
  • Atom connects to the wrong device: If multiple PeekSmith-class devices are nearby, configure Atom in the PeekSmith app to lock to your Bond.
  • Digits scroll too quickly/slowly: Adjust the Pi display speed in Atom’s settings inside the app.

FAQ

Do I need the app during the show?

  • No. The app is only needed for configuration. Performance works with direct Atom → Bond connection.

Can I choose how many digits show at once?

  • Yes. In the PeekSmith app, under Atom settings, you can configure the number of digits per press.

Can Atom control other features of Bond at the same time?

  • No. In Pi mode, Atom is dedicated to sending Pi digits only.

Can I use Pi Revelations with PeekSmith 3 instead of Bond?

  • Yes. Atom works with both PeekSmith 3 and Bond, since they share the same connection type.
