PeekSmith App
Introduction
PeekSmith is the free companion app for the PeekSmith display. It allows you to collect information from several sources and display it on the PeekSmith screen. With the Multi-Display add-on, you can display this information on other screens, and also you can send it to Glyphs or a Web API.
You can do these things with MrCard and the PeekSmith app:
- Display names, numbers, or drawings on the MrCard screen
- Use MrCard as a secondary or primary peek display for your favorite mentalism apps
- Send Pi Revelations, LOTTO numbers, or predictions to MrCard in real time
- Forward data from PeekSmith to MrCard and also to Glyphs or a Web API
- Discreetly reveal information in a performance setting with minimal tech exposure
This documentation page will guide you through the steps to use MrCard with the PeekSmith app.
Prerequisites
Before starting, make sure you have the following:
- PeekSmith app installed on your device (latest version recommended, at least v4.2.66)
- Electricks MrCard charged and ready to pair
- PeekSmith Multi-Display add-on (optional, required for Glyphs or Web API integration)
- Bluetooth enabled on your device
Connecting MrCard with the PeekSmith App
- Turn on the MrCard (it may show a standby or default screen)
- Open the PeekSmith app
- In the Settings, scroll to Select Display Device
- Choose “MrCard” from the list of available devices
- Tap to connect—it should pair automatically
Once connected, you’ll see PeekSmith data appearing on the MrCard screen.
Using MrCard with PeekSmith
Once connected, MrCard can act as a flexible display for:
Pi Revelations
- Enter a number (via remote or app input)
- PeekSmith processes the number and sends the corresponding Pi page, line, and column to MrCard
- The reveal appears directly on the card’s e‑ink screen
LOTTO Numbers (with Glyphs)
- Input numbers using a compatible remote (like Atom or a custom UI)
- PeekSmith forwards the numbers to both Glyphs and MrCard
- MrCard displays the result while Glyphs prints the ticket
Web API Integration
- Enable “send to Web API” in the Multi-Display settings
- MrCard displays whatever data the API returns (e.g. prediction, score, cue)
- Ideal for live routines or backend app integration
Conclusion
The Electricks MrCard, when paired with the PeekSmith app, becomes a powerful tool in your mentalism toolkit. Whether you’re revealing a prediction, displaying a name or number, or integrating with Glyphs or a Web API, MrCard keeps the magic smooth, subtle, and high-impact.
