Atom + SB Watch (Set the Time)
This solution explains how to use Atom 2 to set the time on an SB Watch.
With this setup, a simple button press on Atom will send a time to the watch – allowing you to control the reveal perfectly in performance.
What You Need
- Atom 2 Smart Remote (charged and turned on)
- SB Watch (charged and turned on)
- PeekSmith app (latest version, iOS or Android)
Step 1 - Connect Your Devices
- Turn on both Atom 2 and SB Watch.
- Open the PeekSmith app.
- Go to the Devices screen.
- Connect to both Atom and SB Watch. Green indicators show when they are connected.
Step 2 - Open the Atom Time Screen
- In the app, tap Play from the bottom menu.
- Select Atom Time.
- On the Atom Time screen, make sure Send to SB Watch is enabled.
Now pressing Atom’s buttons will send times to the watch.
Step 3 - Control with Atom
By default, Atom’s buttons control the watch as follows:
- Button 1 → Sends the current system time to SB Watch.
- Buttons 2-6 → Each can be configured in the app to send a predefined time (for example: 3:15, 7:45, 11:11).
Every time you press a button, the watch instantly updates to show the selected time.
Step 4 - Performance Flow
- The spectator names or thinks of a time.
- You secretly press the matching Atom button.
- The SB Watch updates silently.
- When the spectator looks at the watch, it shows the exact time they chose.
Troubleshooting
- Watch doesn’t change: Check that Send to SB Watch is enabled on the Atom Time screen.
- Wrong time appears: Re-check the time assigned to each button in the app.
- No connection: Make sure SB Watch is turned on and close to your phone.

Can I change which times are assigned to the buttons?
- Yes. On the Atom Time screen in the app, tap on a button to edit the time it sends.
Can I set the watch without the app?
- No. The Atom Time feature requires the app to link Atom with the watch.
Does the watch tick forward normally after being set
- Yes. Once Atom sets the time, the watch continues running normally.
Can I use this with multiple watches?
- Yes. As long as they are paired in the Devices list, Atom can control more than one SB Watch.
