How to Upgrade
There are two ways to upgrade your device:
- the PeekSmith app (Android or iOS) – free download
- the MagiScript Editor (desktop browser + Bluetooth)
When updating Atom, ensure that it is only connected to the device you’re using for the update.
Update with PeekSmith App
Go to Atom’s Details page in the app to do the update.
Important: If you have problems with the update, try restarting the app and/or your phone to resolve the issue. Make sure Atom is not paired with any other devices during the update to ensure a smooth process.
Update with the MagiScript Editor
To update your Atom with the MagiScript Editor, visit https://peeksmith.electricks.info/atom/ and follow the instructions. The editor will offer and do the update, then restarts the device.
You will need a desktop or laptop computer with Bluetooth, and an Edge or Chrome browser. Latest computers, especially laptops have built-in Bluetooth connectivity. If your computer doesn’t have, you can by a Bluetooth adapter (dongle).
Important: avoid switching to other apps or browser tabs during the process, as this can interrupt the update. If you encounter issues, try restarting both the browser and your device to resolve potential connection problems. The best is if you disconnect Atom from your phone as well by disabling Bluetooth on your phone.
